Meeting of the Integrity and Anti- Corruption Commission with the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)

The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) team visited today the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission to prepare for the national action plan within the framework of the implementation of the "Compact on Economic Governance" in the Arab Countries in Transitions, to promote economic governance in their business environment.

OECD Policy Analyst Anton Laes spoke about the Economic Governance Compact adopted by the Deauville Partnership Initiative in 2015, with technical support from the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

The organization will prepare reports describing the situation in the target countries," he said", adding that the reports include the reforms implemented in these countries since 2011, and the current status of economic governance in these countries.

A number of Directors presented a presentation on the National Strategy of Integrity and Anti-Corruption, and the progress achieved on good governance and the constitutional amendments that have taken place in Jordan since 2011. The Commission seeks to develop good governance as one of its main tasks in promoting integrity and combating corruption, through the projects included in the National Integrity and Anti-Corruption Strategy (2017-2025).
