• He started his academic life in the schools of the Scientific College / Amman, then moved to pursue his studies, and obtained a BA in law from the University of Damascus in 1981.
• In 1996, he obtained a master's degree in international legal studies from the American University / Washington.
• He held several judicial positions, including the Head of the Legislation, Contracts and Agreements Department, the President of the Military Court, the Assistant Prosecutor for the State Security Court and the President of the Military Appeals Court until he became Director of the Military Judiciary with the rank of Major General and Deputy General of the State Security Court.
• Received a doctorate degree in international law in 2013, and Dr. Hijazi is one of the legal experts in the field of international humanitarian law and an expert accredited to the International Committee of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent.• Received a doctorate in international law in 2013, and Dr. Hijazi is one of the legal experts in the field of international international law and an expert accredited to the International Committee of the Red Cross and Red Crescent.
Lecturer at the relevant institutions and institutes at the internal level:
1- From the provisions of the State Security Court.
2- Restricting the principle of military necessity with humanitarian considerations.
