3 years imprisonment for Kurdi and his demand for seven million new dinars

The Anti-Corruption Commission at the Minor Criminal Court has ruled incriminating Walid Al-Kurdi by sentencing him in the famous case related to the phosphate company to three years in prison and fining him seven million dinars for the offense of misdemeanor wasting the money of public joint-stock companies.

 

The case is summarized in the case that The Jordan Phosphate Public Shareholding Company has been registered in the Companies Control in the Public Shareholding Companies Registry since 1/1/1953. as the accused Walid Al-Kurdi held the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors in it from 30/6/2006 until 17/3/2012 in addition At the same time, he held the position of CEO of the company from 6/30/2006 until the date of his resignation on 1/4/2012.

The court, headed by Judge Emil Al-Rawashdeh, and the membership of Dr. Marzouq Al-Amoush have convicted the crime of wasting public shareholding companies' money, imprisonment for a period of three years, fees and a fine of 5,000 dinars, and the inclusion of the value of the sums that were missed on the company, which is seven million a face-to-face decision subject to appeal and in absentia subject to a re-trial against the accused, Walid al-Kurdi. .

The Anti-Corruption Commission had referred the file of this case years ago along with other cases related to the practices of the phosphate company.
