JIACC launches four pilot projects to enhance its institutional capabilities

The Chairman of the Board of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission Dr. Muhannad Hijazi urged public administration employees to exercise great bravery while making judgments, provided that they are operating within the bounds of the laws that govern their jobs.He said that trembling and hesitant hands impeded progress and undermined public trust in government organizations. In a lengthy speech delivered at the annual celebration held by JIACC on the occasion of the “International Anti-Corruption Day”, he said that a competent public administration is the one that carries out its work transparently so that this contributes to advancing development and creating investment opportunities.
During the ceremony sponsored by Prime Minister Jafar Hassan and held at the Jordan Hotel on Sunday, he added that the country has suffered greatly from the idea of impressionistic corruption, which social media and some corrupt people have contributed to spreading and questioning the country's efforts to fight corruption and dry up its sources.He emphasized that JIACC has embraced a strategy of battling thoughts by other thoughts. According to Article 4 of the Law of Integrity and Anti-Corruption No. "13" of 2016 and its amendments, JIACC will deal with rumors and those who file malicious complaints intended to assassinate the character. To demonstrate the scope of its accomplishments, JIACC has organized hundreds of lectures, meetings, and training workshops in addition to several awareness campaigns targeting various societal segments through its various directorates.
In his speech, which dealt with many aspects of JIACC's achievements and its efforts to activate the system of values and behavioral rules in public administrations and ensure its integration and adherence to the principles of good governance, he stated that JIACC is working resolutely to achieve a serious, honest and transparent administration that meets the directives of King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, who always emphasizes the need to improve efficient public administration that is able to provide quality services to citizens fairly, and adhere to the rule of law.
Hijazi also announced the launch of four new projects adopted by the JIACC's Board, including the preparation of the new National Strategy for National Integrity 2026-2030 with the wide participation of Jordanian and the expertise of international organizations and bodies, as well as the adoption of an electronic system for the governance of strategies and project governance, and the launch of the “Ambassadors of Integrity” initiative aimed at attracting the youth sector to involve them in spreading the concepts and principles of national integrity and addressing acts of corruption. About five thousand young men and women are expected to participate in this initiative.
In addition to the launch of the new second edition of the National Integrity Indicator after the first edition achieved the desired results in motivating public administrations to comply with national integrity standards and creating a competitive environment among governmental employees.
In his comprehensive speech, the Chairman of the Board of JIACC reviewed several aspects of JIACC's tasks in terms of building its institutional capacity and the achievements of several directorates and units in it, such as investigation, recovery, innovation, training, integrity officers, digital transformation, smartphone application, digitization of its services, as well as JIACC's position at the local, regional and international levels.
