King Receives JIACC Annual Report for 2024

His Majesty King Abdullah II received the 2024 Annual Report of the Jordan Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (JIACC), commending the Commission’s efforts in strengthening integrity and transparency.

During the meeting with JIACC Chairman Dr. Muhannad Hijazi, His Majesty emphasized the importance of continuing to build institutional capacity and enhancing coordination among public entities to reinforce the national integrity system.

The report highlighted key achievements in 2024, including the recovery or protection of approximately JOD 61 million in public funds, and the handling of over 1,100 investigative cases, with nearly 200 referred to the Public Prosecutor.

JIACC also expanded its preventive approach through awareness initiatives, youth engagement programmes, and the launch of the National Integrity Index, contributing to improved compliance across public institutions.

The Commission noted a decline in corruption-related cases referred to the judiciary, reflecting the impact of preventive measures and awareness campaigns, alongside continued efforts in asset recovery and institutional reform.
